Decorate with rubber ice cream cones

Ice_cream_ultswtdecoLast month on Doughnut Bites, I shared my disdain for those ridiculous rubber doughnut stickers that people are supposed to want to use to decorate cell phones and other items. Today, unfortunately, I'm bringing the nonsense over to Ice Cream Bites with a decorative ice cream set from the same Ultimate Sweets Deco line responsible for the doughnut disaster.

The cones look very much like the ice cream cake picks that I still maintain came straight out of my sketch pad and are bundled with four fondant-looking pink hearts and some sparkling jewels. Cute as a sheet of stickers, I agree, but not as a way to dress up gadgets (especially given my penchant for shiny tech toys).

Available from Strapya World for about $9.

Palm-sized ice cream cell phone charm

Palm_ice_cream_cellI don't know what it is about ice cream cones that make cell phone charm manufacturers think they need to be made as big as or even bigger than the phones they're meant to hang from, but it's apparently a golden rule in the handset accessory world.

The enormous Hello Kitty ice cream charm should've clued me in on this a few months ago, but I just figured it had something to do with Ms. Kitty's massive ego. Now that I've discovered the assorted flavors of the Palm-Sized Ice Cream Figure Cell Phone Strap from Strapya World, however, I see that I've misjudged the feline. Who knew Hello Kitty was such a size-conformist!

The palm-sized Mini Ice Cream Shop series includes six varieties of charms that are available now for $5.19 apiece.

Paul Frank ice cream wallet

Ice_cream_wallet_pf1It doesn't belong to the same line as his tote bag, but if you don't discriminate or care about mismatched accessories, then Paul Frank's 8" x 4" ice cream wallet ($30) should probably be the next item to add to your growing PF ice cream collection.

In addition to providing storage space for your IDs (you know you need to carry your inedible ice cream fan club membership card to view this site, right?), credit cards, and cash, the fabric wallet includes a removable mirror (see photo below) to remind you what an ice cream fanatic looks like.

Rhinestone ice cream cone sticker

Ice_cream_phone_sticker_syWell, wouldn't you know it?

Just as I get done ranting about ridiculous uses of Swarovski crystals on sister site Doughnut Bites today, I come across this gaudy ice cream cone sticker designed to "dress up your cell phone." Although it's variously colored rhinestones and not Swarovski crystals being used to create the soft serve cone, the offense is still the same.

The self-adhesive cone's only saving grace is that it's actually a one-piece sticker. Ruining your phone (and reputation), then, can be done quickly and in one fell swoop. Nice.

Yours for about $19 from Strapya World.

Ceramic ice cream cone trinket box

Ice_cream_trinket_boxMy husband bought me a pair of ceramic cupcakes last month that are still sitting on my desk completely empty. They're a delight to look at on their own, but they'd be lovelier if I could find something to actually put in them. Unfortunately, they're too shallow to store a decently sized collection of anything fun, and I refuse to waste their cuteness on paper clips or pushpins. So what I may do instead is just pick up this 6.5" ceramic ice cream cone, which is handmade by a graphic artist named Wendy, and start some sort of dust-collecting sweet treats display.

The cones are available in four different colors (brown, orange, green, and pink) and sell for $16 each.

Hello Kitty dressed as ice cream miniaturizes your cell phone

Hello_kitty_icecream_strapyaHello Kitty may not have had as many careers as Barbie (let's face it: the Sanrio feline will never be an astronaut or a veterinarian), but there's no denying that she's incredibly entrepreneurial.

Here she dabbles in the niche market of dwarfing mobile phones while dressed in an ice cream cone costume that is "soft like marshmallow." When this industry takes off, boy will she be successful! Poor Kitty probably needs the attention, anyway. It's been at least 12 hours since I last saw a new waffle maker or vacuum with her face on it.

The entire get-up stands nearly 5" tall, which basically turns a typical flip phone into an accessory for the squishy charm, and is available from the STRAPYA Online Store for $4.45.
