Rainbow ice cream cone candles

Icecream_cone_candles

Who knew there was so much innovation going on in the candle-making business?

Sold in a set of five, these ice cream cone candles are so cute that I'm seriously being overtaken by an urge to start a candle collection. I'm pretty sure I need several sets in my kitchen drawer as soon as possible.

They're only $12 a set. And considering that each candle has a two-hour burn time, I'd really only be paying 60 cents per hour. Quite the bargain for one of man's greatest discoveries, I'd say. (Oh, and fire's pretty neat too.)

Ice cream cone baking pan

Icecream_pan_wilton

As long as you also serve real ice cream, the Wilton Ice Cream Cone Pan is a whimsical alternative to a boring rectangle or circle cake baked for birthday parties and other special occasions. The aluminum pan measures 13.75" x 9.25" x 2.0" and can also be used as a mold. The chocolate and strawberry double scoop shown here looks to be made of Rice Krispies Treats, but I don't see why jello, actual ice cream, or even clay couldn't be put in there as well. Creatively frosted cake is probably the most versatile (see photo below), though, and of course there's that pesky thing called tradition.

Available for only $11 from Amazon.
